Who we are?

At Metasonixx, we specialize in engineering advanced materials for superior sound and noise management. Using acoustic metamaterials—hailed as one of the top 10 technologies of the past 20 years by Science and the UK KTN—we deliver precise acoustic solutions wherever and whenever needed.

Founded in 2019 as a spin-out from the universities of Sussex and Bristol, Metasonixx is the culmination of nine years of dedicated research. Our academic collaborations have led to groundbreaking innovations, including a device capable of delivering acoustic messages to a single moving person within a crowd.

We hold four family patents that allow us to transform standard materials such as metal, plastic, wood, and paper into products that block noise while allowing air and light to pass through if desired. This unique capability sets us apart in the industry. At Metasonixx, we are proud to be the “who-you-gonna-call” team for helping companies in managing simultaneously noise and ventilation challenges that cannot be solved with traditional methods, working tirelessly to create a quieter, greener, and more sustainable future for all.
